So, Bill and Judy, what do you plan to do with your prism? Keep it? Donate it? Broadcast live photos of it over the web? ("And here is the prism at 2:18 AM...")

Don't feel bad - I kept up my record that is even worse than yours. Not only did I not win, the ticket next to mine did. I recall that in the initial sign-ups someone had recalled my streak and asked for the number next to mine, but it had already been taken.

Wow! We are shocked and excited about winning the prism copy. At this point we plan to keep it and mount it in an appropriate display. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Since we are relatively new WACKOS and new at winning prisms and other such prizes, we're interested in good ideas.
Thanks, Jim, for giving us landlocked lighthouse lovers the opportunity to contibute to Point Sur's preservation. It is one of our favorites.

You could have Jen take a professional photograph of it and offer to do one of two things-

Raffle off a signed matted copy of the print for the benefit of your favorite lighthouse or

Raffle off the Prism again for the same cause and keep the print for yourself.

I can't take full credit for the idea- someone mentioned it while we were raising the money for the Prism.

I just refined it a bit. If this is done right we could keep raising money for Lighthouses for a long time with one item, basically.

OK, we have collected $988.24, that's close enough so checks are going to the bank and by Oct 1st Point Sur will have our $$$$

I think that you, Jim, are in deserving of a HUGE congratulations. You coordinated this from a mention on another thread to one of the biggest and fastest fundraising projects in the history of the CF. And you did it all single-handedly, gathering pledges, monies, prizes, and making all the contacts. We couldn't have done it without YOU!

I'll second that emotion, Greg.

I could not find the other link, so I will post here . Are they any word on the date for setting the deck prism at Big Sur . I know it was mentioned to be sometime in Nov. 04, is this right??

It's now Nov. and I assume that we are not having the "Setting Of The Prism" this Month.
And with the holidays coming up, I feel that maybe we could set a date in Jan 05 (maybe between the 13th-18th) Jim when is the last time you were in touch with Point Sur about this???

No date has been set yet, with the Holidays upon us, we have held off until next year. Most important, Point Sur has recd the funds awhile back, and I am sure they have put them to good use. Also, they wrote of our efforts in their last newsletter.

We would love to go so keep us posted. January 5 would probably work for us. It would be fun to meet with other WACKOS at this event. Jim, keep us posted.
