On the local Friday evening (6PM) 9&10news...the statement was made that the Waugoshance Lighthouse Preservation Society reached the $7,000 goal needed for the committment to the restoration of the lighthouse. Mike Rowe of the Discovery Channel "Dirty Jobs" would like to do a story on this lighthouse. (Will post any new info as soon as it is available). For the donations that assisted the WLPS for this committment, a huge thank you to all!  Keep the donations coming!

I was just watching Dirty Jobs and was reminded of this thread. I can't wait to see Mike cleaning up up at Waugoshance lighthouse. Mike was cleaning the equipment at a beer brewery, as usual it was a good show and very entertaining.

Hopefully we'll be keeped up to date with their website.
