I have been looking forward to it too - anyone want to start? I would be willing to coordinate it if someone would tell me how. Unless, Beaconfollower, you were volunteering?? Everyone sends to everyone? Or should there be a limit of the first 25 people? Any suggestions?

I would love to participate. (but not coordinate eek )

I throughly enjoyed this last year, and saved all the cards from my lighthousing friends.

My four-year old grandson thought it was great fun too. He liked counting all the lighthouse cards at Grandma's.

So please count me in!

We are definitely interested in participating in the holiday card exchange. These exchanges have been fun. smile We also keep the holiday cards. In the past it was limited to the first 25.

I made my own card last year using a photo of Mukilteo and was planning on making my own again this year. It's much more personal that way and you get some unique holiday cards. I too have kept all my Lighthouse Christmas cards and last year my Christmas card "tree" was filled with lighthouse cards.

I think it should probably be limited to the first 25 and it looks like we are up to 7 people now

Ok, so if no one minds, I will coordinate this which shouldn't be too hard. Send your name and snail mail address to me - off the forums - and I will then send a copy of the list to everyone. We will take the first 25 people who sign up. So send those names and address to me no later than the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 26. How does that sound?

Tammy, I didn't answer your question - any holiday card will be great! If you want to make a card, buy a card, whatever will be just fine.

We are up to 10 people who are interested but only 3 that I have snail mail addresses for. (Sorry, I am a bit excited and want everything NOW!)

I'm in! laugh

I too have enjoyed this Lighthouse Christmas Card Exchang for the last two years. I have kept all the cards from both years and looking farward to adding another year to that collection.

Last year I took all my cards to work and posted them on my wall for all to see! There where lots of comments from coworkers and everyone loved seeing my cards. Many watched to see what new card would come in next! laugh

I will post weekly (if I can hold out that long) on the progress of the Holiday Card Exchange or until we hit 25. So far, I have 5: Tom & Joyce Abbott, Lighthouser, Shortcake, Bert & Beaconfollower. Remember, the cut off is November 26, the Friday after Thanksgiving. Does everyone have Word so I can send the list in label format?

Eskilady, You said
Quote:
Any and all cards are welcome - handmade, store made, second hand, they don't even have to be lighthouse cards
But in the past they had to be Lighthouse Christmas Cards. Store bought (or) hand made but Lighthouse cards.

So you are changeing this now to any card?

Ether way I'm still in!

I'm still in either way, too, but the holiday lighthouse cards are the neatest...homemade & store-bought!

Eskilady,

Please forgive the salutation ... I checked your profile here ... and I checked your ptofile there... and could not locate who you are behind the name ... my apologies.

Having said that, please, I would very much like to participate in the Christmas Card exchange ...
I will PM you with my home address.

I think it is a wonderful idea.

I thought that maybe someone wouldn't want to do it because they didn't have or couldn't find lighthouse cards. I am sure that this being a lighthouse list, they will be lighthouse cards but I just wanted to give everyone the option of doing it either way. Your choice. Mine will be lighthouse cards too. Mine will not be homemade because even tho I saw some beautiful lights this year, I didn't have that one fantastic picture that would make a nice card. Maybe next year.

Today is the last day to sign up for the exchange. It doesn't seem very popular this year as only 15 people have signed up for it (including myself). But that is okay - it will be great fun anyway! Look for your list on Sunday afternoon. If you cannot use a Word document, please let me know. Thanks!

(Edited from a previous post about my address, which seems to have been recieved as it's on the list. And just edited again, because it was my email Eskilady was talking about. )

I've made up my cards, enveloped 'em, signed 'em, sealed 'em, return addressed 'em, addressed 'em...all I need to do is stamp 'em. My dad is going to get me some stamps tommorow (hopefully), so I should have them in the mail then. smile

Just got Stephanie's card today. Very nice! The "treat" inside was a new one!

My dad is supposed to have gotten me some Christmas stamps today (I don't have enough LH ones left, should have bought more than one sheet when I had the chance...anyone have any extra sheets?), and then I can get them in the post tommorow. smile

Got Eskilady's today. Nice card! I'm getting into this "getting post every day" thing!

I have my last two cards made up for Bonnebert and CarolZ, everything is stamped, and I'll put them in the postbox tommorow. I've learned that bad things can happen to important post if left in the box overnight. Especially when it's a national holiday and it rains. eek

I agree with Beaconfollower - Greg, your card was fantastic!! It almost looked like Sodus Point actually had the candy canes in their yard. You did a good job! I am glad that we did this again this year - it is fun seeing what everyone sends.

Thanks to all of you, they are great.

I've gotten everyone's card listed so far- all very nice and very creative.

I'm still workining on mine- I intend to be the last one's out and last to arrive.

I'd say I was going alpahbetical but Carol makes that line impossible.

Hello,

I've received 4 great cards so far. I'm glad I'm participating this year.

My cards were mailed yesterday. Two different cards of the same lighthouse. Everyone should recognize the lighthouse. Photos taken February 2004.
