Under the sub heading of deja-vu, I bring you:
OK, it's been a while and a certain Yankees fan has been bugging me about re-starting the Post Card Round Robin exchanges. For those not sure of what these are:
• Exchanges should be about 6 people each. • The exchange leader puts an envelope of 10 lighthouse post cards into the mail to the first person on the list. • That person reviews the cards in the robin. They may remove any or all of the cards, but must replace with an equal number of lighthouse post cards from their stash. • Robin gets sent on to the next person on the list. • Repeat until the robin returns home to the person who started it.
Hopefully along the way the participants have had an ever changing selection of cards to choose from to add to their collection. With people from different parts of the country we generally get a nice assortment of US and sometimes international cards.
Basic rules are pretty simple: • Must be new/not written on or mailed cards • No more than 2 cards of the same light may be inserted into the robin. Want each recipient to have a nice selection of different cards to choose from. • As noted before, cards must feature lighthouses. Lightships are acceptable. • Each person should review the robin and have it back on the road within 2 days or so
Interested? Sign in below. If you have not previously participated please email me your snail mail address. Ideally we will have 12 or so folks interested. If we have enough over that number we will start more robins, trying to keep each one at about 6 players. As each set of robins finishes up, participants will be shuffled between the robins and the order of play shuffled - this helps to keep things from getting stale.

I will leave this open for another day or two to see if we have any more players.
In the mean time, Cyndi please email me your mailing address. I should have everyone elses unless you have moved in the past year.

Dave, So how many times does the robin go round? Will it go on for months? That would be pretty cool!

Bob, the robin is complete when it returns to the originator. At that point, we mix the groups up (like move half of group A to group B and such) and the originators may also shuffle the order. Keeps things more interesting and opens up the possibility to have a different variety of cards each go-round. Generally after 2-3 rounds it is time to take a break for a bit.

We have 17 players. I am going to split the group into 3 robins of 6 (Bob Scroope is going to be in 2 of them).
Awaiting Cindy's address and then I can send out the breakout and get things rolling.

OK - we're set to go. Also had a late entry - Grace (and you all thought she fell off the face of the earth....)
There will be 3 robins this time. I will start one, as will Bob Scroope and Darlene Cook. They will notify their participants of the order of play and other appropriate info. They will also start threads for their robins when they put them into the mail.
Please be sure to post a note in the appropriate thread when you have received and forwarded your robin. Remember, you should have the robin for 2 days or less in most instances.
RR 18 (Dave): Melody, Beacon Bob, Stephanie, Tammy & Lorie.
RR 19 (Bob S): Cindy, Doc John, JoAnn, Tom & Joyce, Kay
RR 20 (Darlene): Hilari, Randy, Mombo, Bill, Grace.

Hey, everybody, I just couldn't resist the Round Robin, so I am back. I have a lot of catching up to do since I haven't posted since shortly after the Maine trip. (Can you believe I was quiet for so long?!) Can't wait to see all the new postcards - I have a humongous new stash so I am eager to get started.

Hi Dave,
Hey, I hope you get in on this round robin, though I have already been sharing some of the postcards you sent me with the other round robin participants.

Dave, too late for this first round, but I have no problem adding you into the next series. Depending on how fast the three parts make their rounds, it should be around 3-4 weeks before they recycle. Go ahead and send me your info and I will work you in for the next round.

Not much notice, but if anyone wants to be added into the round robins you need to post ASAP if not sooner and also send me an email with your address. Dave from the UK will be added in this time.

I have shuffled the robins and here is how they are set to be this time round:
RR 18: Me, Dave W, Lorie, Doc John, Grace & Cyndi
RR 19: Bob S, JoAnn, Tom & Joyce, Melody, Randy, Hilari & Bob J
RR 20: Darlene, Bill, Mombo, Kay, Tammy & Stephanie
As I posted in my thread, RR 18 is on its way. Not sure if Bob S was able to get his in the mail before he left on a lighthousing adventure. Darlene will get her robin started out soon.
