I just captured another piece for my mini-collection of the NC lights - Bald Head, for what I considered to be a fairly reasonable $104.00. Huzzah!
I also noted (with pleasure, since I have one - )that in the last two days, there have been two Curritucks #158 sold. One went for $199.99 and the other for $198.49 (he got a bargain!)

I think who ever purchased the Curritucks for either the $198 or the $199, that they need to do their homework next time before bidding. Or perhaps not to get into a bidding war!! I'm sure the sellers are happy.

I agree! I was stunned to see the first Currituck go for almost $200.00. I remembered seeing another #158 on another listing, so I checked it out - and saw the second whopper bid!. I wonder if it was the same cast of characters bidding both?
Incidentally, I recognized your ID in the bid history on Bald Head, early in the action. I thought WE might be in a bidding war! I was actually pretty surprized to win the piece - It got pretty close to my maximum bid. B.H. looks good on the mantel, though

It pay's to watch E-Bay closely. One day you'll see a Currituck going for $200.00 the next time you'll see it sell for $110.00. Christopher is right, I learned the hard way you have to be patient in the collecting game, and have a price limit set on what you think the piece is worth to you. .
