I just caught the end of an announcement on our cable station 202 (HGTV - Home & Garden TV). Apparently Bob Villa of This Old House fame will be hosting a new series starting July 4th covering restorations of major edifices around the country. As he was going through his dialogue pictures of homes and buildings and, yes, a lighthouse went flashing by. I was not paying full attention and I didn't recognize the lighthouse. Of course, I had my glasses off and was fortunate to recognize that it was a lighthouse. Does anyone know anything about this series or about which lighthouse might be featured?

Haven't heard anything in my neck of the woods, but will be listening out. Hope some other posters will know more os we can all find out and be looking for the airing time.

Does Bob Villa have a webpage that might tell his schedule? I'll look it up and let you know.

And the answer is, BobVilla.com There is nothing on the site that mentions a lighthouse. The Historic Homes section was in search of Palladio. Perhaps there was a lighthouse near one of the homes being talked about. I left a question about it.

You can also check out the HGTV web site. They may have some info since it will be on their network.

I believe Bob Vila might have a boat at Martha's Vineyard. If he does, more than likely he will have a home there. The lighthouses on the Vineyard ( East Chop, West Chop, Edgartown, Cape Pogue, and Gay Head) are all in good shape as far as I know. So I don't think it will be a "close to home" project there.

The lighthouse looks like Cape Cod Light in Truro, MA.
