On Ebay item # 1068347549 Thomas Point LE is at $167.50. The boat looks as if it has been re-tied incorrectly. Anyone else see this?

WOW!! I checked out that one. That seems a "little" steep in price, doesn't it?

It wouldn't seem steep if I was the seller!

Obviously, not a connected collector. Knowledge is power! Join the Collector Forums so you too won't fall into an eBay bad deal.

You know $86 is a bargin, for some individuals on eBay that don't know a light from a light (a kind way of saying it). I mean really, $86 for a $45 piece..... I don't think so.

As for the catalog...can we say, "Free".

Now the SOL thing is getting just plain silly. While cruising ebay this morning, we see Liberty Enlightening the World (#627), flag #1871, 8 hours left, $51.00 ; and SOL GLOW, (#438), 11 hours to go, $81.55!!!

Could it just be people buy Statue of Liberty stuff? Not really Harbour Light buyers? I hope so.

"An educated consumer is our best customer"...Sy Symms

If you're into Harbour Lights, you should know there is no reason to pay a premium price for something that still can be purchased at retail from an authorized HL Dealer.

I believe the Liberty sales is a by-product of 9/11 and the war on terrorism. I told my dealer to stock a lot of SOL #438 and have them out front where people can see them with a few flags in the background. While $86 is out of line when SRP is $45 it the old buyer beware. However, I believe this is still an excellent product and the timing is great. I have SOL HL627 setting front and center in my HL display and it is the first that everyone notices. On top of all that everyone is suprised that it is a lighthouse.
