Interesting auction to say the least. I don't know of too many collectors that would make such a leap all at once for 15K or better. Lets see...121 HLs @ 15 grand is roughly $123 each. That's a nice price for some of those pieces but not all.

I would hate to estimate what the shipping expense would be if you couldn't pick them up at the seller's home. If they were purchased for display and not resale, that would take the fun of the hunt out of it. It will be interesting to see how many bids he gets and from who.

I would wager that he'll receive no bids and would accept an offer somewhat less than the opening bid. Maybe I'm wrong and he'll display his HLs proudly like the rest of us Wackos.

That is pretty pricey, and it kind of takes the fun out of finding them all individually. Now if they were including a Coquille River......

I agree with Bob and mci1231. I don't think he's going to get any bids on that auction. Its too much money to plop down at one time. Alot of us may have around $15,000 invested in our collections but we have spread it out over 10 years.
But what do I know...I voted for Bush!

We looked at the ebay auction tonight also.
It is a lot of money for the group!! As the earlier posts state, buying them all at one time takes all the fun out of collecting them. You never know when you will find an old one is some odd spot in the world.
