Hi! I have been "lurking" around the forums for a little while and finally decided to join in. Y'all are a pretty tight knit group, but certainly welcoming and friendly to newbies (like me!) I am a relatively new collector (6 so far) and I am looking forward to learning a lot about HLs and LHs through the forums and this site

Hey Keri welcome on board. This has got to be the best place to post on the internet!! You know I can't say it enough, the people here are great and there is nothing you can't find a spot to talk about it. I've said this before too but I feel it's worth repeating, the people here are just a reflection of the Harbour Lights Family. The Youngers and their Staff are the best. Enjoy!

Hi Keri....I agree with what everyone else has had to say about this site. Its a diverse group of folks who have one thing in common....HL's. It's always interesting to visit here and read what other's have to say.....the foremat is really nice.

Welcome Keri! I also was a bystander for a long time and I decided to jump into the pool. I joined in August and I am hooked to the Forums.

Welcome Keri_B to the family of collectors. Be sure to look up Barbara Hupp and the New England Lighthouse Lovers (NELL) club. Shes right in your neighborhood and has great events happening in your area.

I to am a long time reader, first time contributor. We've been collecting for just under a year and have amassed 82 LE'S and 1 AB. Just got back from a long weekend visiting lighthouses in Michigans U.P. Saw 31
lights in 4 days. Anyone who's been up there knows some of them are very hard to get to on rough sand and gravel roads. Found some nice shops along the way, however wasn't able to find the elusive Big Bay or Ocracoke at retail. (I can dream can't I !)Anyway, look forward to posting on the Forums.

Welcome Keri. You will find that visiting these boards can be very informative (and addictive). I find that I can get information from this site a lot quicker than I can get it from my dealer.

Whether you'll be like me on these boards (visit daily, but don't post much), or like the tight nit group of people that post here on a daily basis, I think you'll enjoy your time here. You'll also be amazed at the wealth of information that can be gained here. I know I have.

Welcome to the Forums, Keri. So glad to see another happy person from New England who loves lighthouses.I hope you will look over our New England Harbour Lights collector club called NELL. We have a wonderful club Outing coming up Oct. 14 in Maine.

Thank you Jim Johnston, for giving NELL a plug here. Joining an HL club would be a great way for Keri to learn more about both lighthouses and collecting.

I attended the Great Lakes HL club in Milwaukee, of which Jim is the President, in July, for their regional signing and had a wonderful experience. Jim and his members did such a fantastic job of setting up interesting club displays on the lighthouse they have been helping to restore. It is definitely wothwhile belonging to a club, and I am so happy I got to visit Jim's club. I actually joined it for 2001, as Milwaukee is my birthplace. Have to help support my home state !!

Yes Suzanne, it does. I'm from the Chicago area, but we have vacation home in Sturgeon Bay Wi. so we see the lighthouses of Door County frequently.

Suzanne, We have been a few times, couldn't make it this year though, prior commitments.Usally try to get up there for the shipyard tours also.
