When I was admiring my collection last night I noticed that my LE Alcatraz is missing the edition number in the flag. Also, it does not have the original edition size.

Does anybody else have the same?

by "missing edition #" you are referring to the serial number (HL likes the 'edition number' term)? Every once in a while one slips through apparently. On the bottom does it have the product label? Is the product number 4xx or 1xx? (400 series vs. 100 series).

If you have a black light, and view the flag under that light, can you see an edition number? (Might have been faded away by sun light).

As for the edition size. That's missing because Alcatraz was one of those lighthouses that HL introduced as "GLOWs" but later changed to Limiteds. You can read about those at this page:

Unfortunately I do not have a black light. I would purchase one but I would rather give my money to Bill Younger.

I do not think sunlight is the culprit as I have not exposed the piece in any direct light. My curio has limited space so I rotate the lighthouses every 3 or 4 months. They are under wraps in the box when not in use.
