LadyLightkeeper and I have tabulated the votes. There were a total of 40 votes as follows:
1st Place - Morris Island, SC with 17 votes 2nd Place - Esopus Meadows, NY with 8 votes 3rd Place - Round Island, MS with 6 votes 4th Place - Rockland Breakwater, ME with 5 votes 5th and 6th were a tie between Sand Island, AL and Cape St. George, FL with 2 each.
The next step is to get the pin design finalized which is now in process.
Hopefully by late November or early December we'll have the final sample to show everone and begin to take orders from fellow Wackos. All Wacko pin orders will have to be fully prepaid BEFORE we can submit the order to the manufacturer.
Watch this space for future developments.
Thanks to everyone who participated.

A big Thank You to the Ladylighthkeeper and Lamar for the time and effort they put into this project.
I had a feeling that Morris Island would be the winner. Of all the sentinels on the list it is certainly the one that needs our help the most. I think all of us in the forum would agree to that since it growing closer to falling into the sea every day.
I too am looking forward to seeing what the pin will look like.

Morris Island is a great choice! Hope to see it some day. Don't get to the east coast very often but am planning a trip next summer.
Thanks Ladylightkeeper and Lamar for your work on this. I din't get tovote but Morris Island would have been mine.
Dale
