Hello everyone. I'm new here and I don't know where to post this...probably down on the collectibles area
My sister just called from California and said she attended the big todo there in N. CA. Well, she won one of the Fall Fort Tompkins and even had her picture taken with the owner or artist...she wasn't quite sure which. But the light house is beautiful. She is an avid collector of the Harbour Light Light Houses but she is about to fall into hard times and she is having to liquidate some of her holdings. In particular, the Fort Tompkins that she won. I told her I would try to help her find out what a fair market value is since none of them (that she knows of) had been sold yet. There was a gentleman that told her that at the Summer get-together, a man went up to one of the winners and offered them $4000.00 for the Summer Fort Tompkins. I do not know if this is true.
If someone could please write and let me know what you know about it or if you are interested in purchasing this item, I would appreciate it.
