Yes I am another newbie. I have been reading the forum for several months now and have enjoyed it very much. Today I decided to sign up. This is the first bulletin board/chat room that I have ever signed up for. Having been a member of the Harbour Lights Society for 3 years now and 95 lighthouses later this has been a lot of fun and I have enjoyed it. My wife and I are members of New England Lighthouse Lovers (NELL) and enjoy visiting lighthouses (around the world) and enjoy the lighthouse community. I look forward to exchanging Harbour Lights and lighthouse information with you.

Hi Lighthouse Bear and welcome to the Collector Forums. I'm glad that you have taken the plunge and are now participating & posting (P&P) vice looking and lurking (L&L). The folks here are very friendly and it won't be long before they all feel like family to you.

The other members of these forums will love to hear about your travels (both inside & outside the U.S.) and see some of the pictures you have taken of lighthouses.

Since I know you through NELL I would like to mention that one of your other interests, namely military history, is also shared by other members here who would probably like to hear about your adventures at various battlefields and meetings with famous military people. You can post messages about those kinds of topics also (as I'm sure you have seen in some of the threads like "Nothing to do with Anything").

I look forward to reading your posts and again welcome you.

Many of us were lurkers before we became a registered members. It's OK if you can't make the chats, sleep is important too. Just put some posts in the forums so we can get to know you. Also if you have questions about Harbor Lights or lighouses just ask. This group of people is very knowledgeable.
