Wow! What a great site. My name is Ed Huber and I'm quite new to collecting HL. My interest in lighthouses just kind of clicked on about a year ago. Our family has vacationed in New Symrna Beach for about 15 years. The Ponce De Leon LH was always around but I had never been inside until last year. To keep it short, I'm hooked.

I'm an Engineer that has always been fascinated with detail so I guess it was inevitable. I attended a local club meeting for the first time last week and met Bill Younger at a signing at my first meeting. What Luck! I only have 4 pieces at present (Ones I have visited) but I'm sure there will be more. I'm really sorry I didn't know about them years ago. I've missed so many great pieces.

Thanks for such a great site with all the info you could possibly want about HL. Thanks to Pat Palmer-Ball for her hospitality at the meeting here in Louisville. I'll be around!

My family and I are headed to New Symrna Beach in a few weeks. This will be our 10th trip to this wonderful part of FL. in the last 8 years! We love it there! Have been to Ponce each time! Each year it seems to get harder and harder to climb! Now my 5 year old goes up with me.(I carried him a few times in the past-talk about a climb!) Glad to hear from someone else who has stayed in New Symrna Beach!

Your fascination with lighthouses started at around the same time as mine. This forum has become an important part of my day. I can't wait for my "forum time". I am also in the engineering world so I know what long days it can bring, and this is really a great form of R&R.

I am new to this forum however not new to collecting HL. This is a great site to talk about the one thing we all love...Right! I would like to get to know more people so when I attend the Rosemont Convention in June I have friends to visit. My husband and I travel to see as many lighthouses as we can. My all time favorite is the Portland Head but I now have a close 2nd since visiting the Boca Grande in Florida. I was very excited when I saw that HL has made it this year. Looking forward to chatting with all of you. TTFN
