The weekend after a fabulous Collectors Family Reunion, we find Bill making his final scheduled Midwest signing trip this year. There will be many, many lighthouse fans in Alpena this weekend, and hopefully a good showing of HL collectors. The program shows Bill is to speak at 1 PM followed by personal signing and interview.

Who will be in attendance? I know that Jim Johnston and that wacky group from Wisconsin will be there pushing a certain lighthouse project. Several other Michigan types have indicated their plans to attend. Please sign in and please share a report with us.

We were there! This was our first time attending the Alpena Lighthouse Festival. Yes, Jim and his group were there. Jim won a LL at the seminar. Mary and Herm were there. Herm won a LL at the seminar. Bill was sitting at the booth of The Huron Lights store. They were selling HL and all monies went to the Middle Island Lighthouse Keeper Association for the restoration efforts on Middle Island. Stephen picked up a LE Marblehead and a LE Grosse Point for RETAIL. One of the guys with Jim got a LE Holland for RETAIL. Jim picked up many old retired pieces at RETAIL. They even had Artist Proofs. Jim got one that I know of. Many others got the retired ones also. When we left Sunday morning they still had LE St. Joe and LE Michigan City at retail. We had a good time there. Stephen had his 5000+ books (well it sure seemed like that many) to get signed by the authors that were there. The seminars he attended he enjoyed. Then we went to see the Alpena Light, all the Lights at Presque Isle, 40 Mile Point and Sturgeon Point. So much more to see and do, just not enough time. We, more than likely, will be going back to Alpena.
