I just purchased a Key West LE. Very nice piece. But why on earth does the HL literature refer to this piece as having a size of "8x5"? What is the unit of measure? It sure ain't inches. HL134 is a scant 6-1/2 inches tall standing on it's tippie-toes. In fact, I can't find any two points on the piece that could be connected with a straight line 8" long. Does anybody know how HL comes up with these dimensions?

Could be a typo, Art. If not you have a strange variation! Does it say "Made in Arizona" on the base?

I always thought is was "overall height by overall width or length" (whichever is greater).

I just checked a couple, Oak Island and Cape Henlopen and think Brent has the answer, although OI is 7 1/2 so they must round up.

If you look at the current (Yr 2000) brochure, you can deduce from looking at American Shoal, Statue Of Liberty, and Navesink (as obvious cases) that they list the height first, and then a dimension on the base...BUT, in the same brochure, if you look at the PHAROS Collection on page 9, the Bell Rock piece seems to have the base dimmension first, and then the height. In the past, I believe that I have noticed this transposition on other pieces as well as in other brochures, and have been confused. I haven't kept track but it is not that rare.

I use this information to judge/compare unseen pieces that I am thinking of getting, with others that I am familiar with so the accuracy of these figures is pretty important to me. For example, I am considering getting a Bolivar LE and I've been told that it is bigger than the Bolivar GLOW but the listed numbers show them to be the same height.
