I'll be there, anyone else in this area a connected collector, I know Suzi will probably be here, just got off the phone with the store and they said 3 or 4 pieces not purchased there that day would be fine to bring,

I plan to drive down from Rolla on Saturday. It will be my first opportunity to meet Mr Yonger. I'm looking forward to that. Do I need to call ahead to make sure a Kilauea Point will be available for me to purchase? See you Saturday. Allen

Allen -
It might be a good idea to call about Kilauea Point if what happened at a signing I went to is any indication. If the dealer does run out, you may be able to pay for one and get it shipped to you the following week. It will be signed by Bill before shipping.
Good luck and have fun.

I just got back a couple of hours ago from the signing event at the Gift Attic. It was a great time. I was there from start to finish. First I was surprised that as many people came as what did. It was an excellent turnout and the lady that owns the store was quite happy. (Translation, they sold quite a few Harbour Lights and all of the event pieces and took orders for more plus they sold all of their Bob Younger Memorial trees.) Bob was signing the trees B Younger Not BOB. I got to meet Suzi Combs and her husband David and son Patrick(I think)along with Mapper from Rolla Mo. Larry D from Springfield that posts here occasionally was there also,I talked to quite a few people that were not aware of the Collectors Forum and told to to check it out. I will post a couple of things that Bill said about the reunion under the reunion post. I enjoyed listening to him talk and I think quite a few others did. I have some pictures posted on a photopoint page at the link below. Here is a couple for you to check out. Bill gives a Young Collector a ornament. Orv, great coverage of the Gift Attic Event! Thanks for sharing your pictures with all of us. I sure did enjoy my first ever store event. Meeting and talking with Bill and other HL enthusiasts for a couple of hours is a great way to use part of a Saturday. I met Bob at the event, an acquaintance of mine from Rolla. I had no idea he was a SERIOUS HL collector. When is the next Missouri event? Allen

What a great time! Orv, I really enjoyed meeting you and Teresa. My family and I had a wonderful time meeting other collectors and visiting with Bill. I truly don't know how he can keep the schedule he does and still be as kind and congenial as he is. Since NW Arkansas and SE Missouri are not exactly the mecca of lighthouses, I was really pleased to see as many die hard collectors of Harbour Lights as there are. We may have to have to start the "Off-Shore" collectors club (we just happen to be off-shore the other direction ). Orv, thank you for the wonderful pictures and your continued enthusiasm. And BY, thank you for making this a Saturday to remember. I hope to see all of you at the next event. Happy collecting, Suzzi

Great Job, Orv!!!
Thanks for the report and the pictures. Email me those "Me 'n Bill" shots and I'll addd them to the page.
Aren't signings GREAT! Glad to see the 'Connected Collector' Badges work to bring people together. Guess we need to create some sort of handout that you can print on your printer, trim apart and pass out to people at the signings.

Sorry Mapper, no more Missouri events seem to be scheduled for the remainder of 1999. I will let you know as soon as find out when the next one is.
