Door County Lighthouse Walk Collector’s Dinner May 21, 2005
It has been announced that there will be another Door County Lighthouse Walk event piece this year. This time it will be a full size LE. It will be #HL326 Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal North Pierhead, WI. There are plans for it to have a special Door County Lighthouse Walk label on it. Kim will be at a special signing event on May 21, 2005 at AMO Gallery from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Audrey Off is planning to donate another original Door County Lighthouse Painting to Wisconsin Lighthouse District to be used as a prize after dinner. Last year she donated a spectacular three dimensional Pottawatomie Painting.
I need your input as to what your interest is in this event this year. Please let me know if you are interested in coming to this event in 2005.
Let me know what you liked about the event last year, what you would like to do during the event this year, whether you are interested in a fish boil or a different type of dinner, if you would like to stay at the Birchwood or another hotel, and if you would like to go on any boat trips or other tours as a group.
Kim plans to attend the Collectors' dinner.
Please respond with your input. Thanks!
Suzanne Murphy President, Wisconsin Lighthouse District (WILD)

The Bradys plan on coming Suzanne, as far as dinner is concerned... done the boil, some other kind of gathering would be fine. The Birchwood was very nice and reasonably priced and would love to go back there.. We would be leaving after work on Friday and would probably drive halfway friday night, to arrive in plenty of time for Kim's event on Saturday.. For those who haven't seen the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Pierhead Light... Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Pierhead Light
Onward to The Land of the Midnight Sun!

I'd say the Walshes would plan on being there, but we'll have to see. We'll have a six week old baby at that piont, so I'm not going to make the call on this one. Have to check with Patti first. I do like the sound of the new event piece though. Any idea of edition size? More that 500 I suspect? I'm with Paul, could do without the fish boil.

I'm planning on attending. Hopefully, many of the wackos will attend. I had a great time last year!
Suzanne, do you know if they are doing anything at Pottawatomie this year?
Hi Kraig, We'd be happy to have you join the Wackos for the lighthouse walk. Last year's flyer should give you most of the infomation. Only the dates I believe are changing. I'm sure Suzanne can provide you with more information.

HI Kraig! I believe I sent you the flyer last year. Are you interested in visiting lighthouses, going to the collector's dinner, and hanging out with our group? We can make sure you have information regarding events, places to see and how to get around.
Pottawatomie lighthouse is planning to have the replica Fresnel installed by the time of the Walk and is thinking of having a lighting ceremony during the Walk weekend. I will let you know as I hear more about this.
I haven't heard what the edition size is yet for the HL piece. That was my question also.
The Birchwood is interested in having our group back again, so I will work on negotiating a block of rooms there again. Does that sound agreeable?

We're interested, but cannot make a definite commitment at this time. This is less than 2 weeks before we leave for a 12 day vacation. We would arrive late Friday and leave Sunday afternoon...
The Birchwood is fine with me.

Robert and I will make it one of these years. That's right after the Long Island Challenge, and since we are also coming to the reunion and taking the WILD cruise, we'll have to pass for this year. Maybe next year.

Suzanne,
I'll be attending -- you can expect my application in a few days.
As far as yur questions are concerned:
1. The Birchwood was great last year. Would love to be there again.
2. The Fish Broil was different (at least for me), but I don't believe I would order it again. TOO MANY BONES -- HALF OF WHICH I BELIEVED I SWALLOWED.

Hi Suzanne, My husband and I are going!! Please let me know the rate for the Birchwood, I almost made reservations at a different hotel this morning. We would be interested in doing group boat trips, we were looking at doing the trip out to Rock Island agian this year. I wish they would do a boat tour that docked at Chamber's Island!!!! We did that tour several years ago and loved it, wish they would bring it back. We would also like to attend the dinner, we really did not care too much for the fish boil though, too many bones!! I also wish Kim would do signings at the dinner, that was so nice last year. Also let me know what you need volunteers for, I am sure Thad and I can help out.

The Birchwood is interested in having us stay there again. Audrey Off and I are working on a place for dinner. It won't be a fish boil this year. We will have some new surprises in store this year!
