After our sat. event in Roseville, Mom and I headed to San Jose (50 miles away) to Fred's house for the NCHL meeting. It was a special pot luck dinner with the club serving tri-tip (which was delicious!) 35 people were there, some with their reunion tee-shirts on or their Rose Island nametags on. The tables were lined up on the sunporch to give us the feel of one of the dinners at the reunion. It was great! Great people, great food-and HL! BY arrived late-stuck in traffic coming down from San Francisco (Scan Trends event)-he arrived somewhere around 6. We waited for him, then ate while he talked. We had a very productive Q&A session, and then he signed HLs for those who brought them. He was presented with a NCHL Charter Member pin, and was on his way to SJ airport for a 7pm flight.

We then had a business meeting where we planned our Pigeon Point outing, and then had a raffle. Guess who won Tarrytown! It is a really beautiful piece-Mom and I had to look for the seahorse that very night! We also picked up our NCHL denim shirts with our logo embroidered on them. What a HL weekend!

Fred and Lou were great hosts-even though Lou is really under the weather. It was fantastic to finally meet Fred-the first person I have met in person that I have met online! Now I'm really looking forward to the next reunion! Can't wait to meet all of you in person!
