Thank you all for your very kind thoughts ...
I was telling Judy this has been such a good news/bad news birthday ... on Friday my father-in-law underwent quadruple bypass surgery ... I'm glad to say there's now a good chance he'll make another 82 years ... he was moved out of CCU today to a private room ...
He's such a great man ... surely what Tom Brokaw meant by "the greatest generation ..." and he's just meant so much to me over the soon to be thirty years I've been married to his daughter ...
There was much to celebrate this year ...

.. and thank you, Debbie for the kind thoughts ... my father in law took his first steps yesterday and, barring the unforseen, should make it to the rehab center tomorrow, maybe Friday at the latest
