Good Tuesday Morning!

Our good friend and advocate, Dave Hannum is is preparing for his "hip replacement"! Do you think Dave will be running the Boston Marathon anytime soon?

Let's keep Dave and his family in our prayers , for his speedy recovery and return to good health!

I know Dave brought his laptop with him, so if you are reading this know you are in our thoughts and prayers!

Your Harbour Lights Family

He certainly kept that a secret. I noticed a picture at the CF of him holding a cane, but I didn't know why.

My wife had one hip replaced last October, and is scheduled to have the other hip done this October. We had hoped that her first replacement would take care of her problem, but now the other hip needs replacement.

If Dave needs any advice from her actual experience with the first operation, I will be happy to provide it. Trust me, it's no walk in the park. There are plenty of do's and don'ts involved.

Good luck, Dave! We'll be routing for yah!

Dave, Hope your surgery is successful, and you have a speedy recovery. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers too.

Take care and do what the doctors and therapists advise and hopefully you'll be climbing lighthouses again in no time!

Dave must have turned off his cell phone during the surgery, it went to voicemail.. I figured an old retired Navy Chief would leave his phone on..

Wishing you a quick and complete recovery, Dave..

Good luck with the hip surgery and a speedy recovery.
Faithfully do those rehab excercises for a quick recovery.
I can speak from experience, having both hips replaced, you'll wonder why you waited so long.
We will keep you in our prayers towards a full and speedy recovery.

Dave - Wishing you a speedy recovery. Tried to keep a secret, but, the Forums are not like the old "CT Navy". Nothing is sacred.

Heard this from several sources that Dave's wife Susan said...

Quote:
Dave's surgery went very well and it lasted about an hour and a half. She said that the surgeon said that the joint was completely gone but that everything went well.
Now the fun part of recovery...keep those prayers coming. smile

Hey Dave...John and I hope you are on your way to a fast recovery. John had his hip replaced 5 years ago...his only regret was that he waited so long to have the surgery. Today he does pretty much whatever he wants to do...snow skiing, wakeboarding, hiking, working out at the gym.

The first few days are a bit rough so be nice to Susan! bash

Take care and know lots of forum members are sending their get well wishes your way.

The older generation has had you in her thoughts and prayers for several days now. So grateful to know that the operation was a success. We will keep up the prayers for a speedy recovery and I have only one question? When will you tell your mother?
