One of my other passions is raising Schnauzers! It didn't start that way we have a male (Lindsey's Pvt Bengamin) that is 19 days older than my 8 year old and I absolutely adore him well I decided that we needed to purchase a female so we could have one of his pups because I know he will not live forever. Well we still haven't kept a pup and this will be our third litter. Rachael Dawn, who we affectionately call Rach is due anyday know she is as big as a horse and is laying at me feet struggling for every breath....lol! Her first litter she had 9 the second 6 this litter I think she is working on 20! I can't wait she is such a good mom and they are always so cute! I will keep you all posted! Wait you know how far away is the Chicago event....hmm about 8 weeks? just the right amount of time wonder if the hotel would mind I could deliver........

Sorry for the double post. Guess I'm not very awake yet.

Please let us know when the happy day comes and take pictures of the pups. I'm so excited for you. I envy you having those babies around. I'm a real animal person. I know everything about dogs and cats and nothing about human babies.

To prove it, I was at the hospital yesterday and I was admiring a new born baby who was brought in by mom for blood tests. I was sitting there thinking that baby has a beautiful skin color. It wasn't the usual pinky/whitish translucent color but a nice tan looking color (reminded me of Jimmy Smits). Then I hear that the baby is there because it has jaundice! Can you imagine the poor child is yellow from jaundice and I'm thinking how wonderfully healthy and tanned the baby looks. Duh!

Congratulations Lainey! I know you are very excited about the arrivals. We have a miniature Schnauzer named Jasper and really enjoy him. One of the many things I like about him is he doesn't shed. Schnauzers can be a bit stubborn, but all in all, they are great dogs. Let us know when the happy event arrives.

And Joanne, don't feel bad about the judgement on the baby's skin color....my own son, born 33 years ago, was jaundice and I thought more about how nice it looked on him, than the possible effect it could have on him! Now that's a big duh!
Besides, now he is such an avid outdoor person (with his captians license) in TX, he is darker than ever!
