Just wanted to share, my husband, Wayne & I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary last Thursday. We had dinner reservations @ 7:30 which was just the time Floyd was hitting our New York area.
We still made the dinner, one of the few places open in our area (luckily).
He is a great guy, visiting lighthouses with me when I know sometimes he'd rather be playing golf! My gifts were Pemaquid and a 17" monitor. I gave him Portland Breakwater. We visited Maine for the first time in August. The other big first was it was the first vacation without our boys.
I'm just glad he is there sharing with me.

Congratulations, Donna and Wayne. Mary and I celebrated our 21st back in August. In two weeks we will actually be celebrating though, going to Cancun for our very first vacation without our boys. Congrats again!!

WOW. Congratulations to all who had anniversaries in the month of September. My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary early this month. Judging by all the posts, it seems like if you get married in September, you will be collecting HLs and be a active member in the forums.  The Flame

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes. If you think Portland Breakwater is an odd gift for a golfer you should have seen my face when I received the 17" monitor the day before our anniversary. Our 13 year old said Dad, she doesn't like it it isn't a lighthouse!
Pemaquid arrived the next day! Wayne's problem is he gets confused by what HLs are in the curio and what ones we need. I think it is time to fill out the Greenbook pocket guide for him.
Jeff, have fun on your without kids Cancun vacation. Funny how one year they are with you then the next you are traveling as a couple. Actually the 13 yr. old was supposed to come on the Maine trip but I had major repairs on my Taurus & it wasn't ready. My husband drives a Ford Probe with a tiny backseat so he got his wish & stayed home with his 19 year old brother. Actually the 17 lighthouses we saw or visited really would have done him in!
