Links to the Lighthouse Legacy will be distributed by email to Collectors Society members (either 2005-2006 or 2006-2007) on Friday, May 5.

An email to that effect is going out from Tony Constantino today. If you are member and do not receive such email, please take the following actions:

1. If you have several email addresses, check them all.
2. Check your spam filtered mail
3. If you use a spam filter and can set it to allow specific email addresses or domains, please enter tconstantino@harbourlights.com or harbourlights.com as approved
4. If you do not receive an email, please send Tony one on Monday with the subject "Society Email Missing". Send this FROM the email address you want Harbour Lights to associate with your Society membership record.

A thumbnail of the cover for the next issue is on the home page at www.HarbourLights.com

You'll see the cover photo is of El Morro PR. The photograph is from our very own Lori Roe. Several other CF members are featured on the inside pages.

John posted somewhere else that the link would be sent tomorrow (May 6). Was the original email ever sent? I certainly never received one.

No email for me either, but I did email Tony about it. No Legacy yet, either. Will have to make a fuss if I don't get it by May 6. wink

Dang, I'm going to miss these legacies.... but $39.00 for a "gone, but not forgotten" "society gift" is not worth my money, when there are are so many little lights (I.E. East Chop, Borden Flats) that would be worth the membership's cost. IMHO

Mine arrived Friday. Loaded quickly, but printing took forever. For reasons I cannot fathom, The Legacy and some of the pages I print from eBay have to be put through the printer twice to get the full page. Screen on printer shows "ram overflow". The Legacy is 12 pages long. Because of my printer's quirk, a full printout takes twice as long as it should. Probably should spring for a new printer, but I'm so familiar with my 12-year-old Panasonic Laser I'm not entertaining that thought for any length of time. . . .

Got mine on Friday without a hitch. Again, as Bob M said, I wish it were a hard copy. It downloaded in the dial-up version in about 4 minutes and printed off great.

Seem like those who were going to receive it got it on Friday. Never got an e-mail. Was looking forward to seeing The Legacy for the first time as a new Harbour Lights club member. Guess I'm out of luck.

To clarify, the Link to the Lighthouse Legacy was emailed to members of the Harbour Lights Collectors Society - with membership fee paid for 2005-2006 or 2006-2007 membership years.

Membership in a Collectors Club such as NELL, Hoosier Lighthousing Club, and others is not the same as membership in the Harbour Lights Collectors Society.

The email address is in the first post in this thread. Here it is as a hot link:

I received mine when I got on the computer this a.m. I never sent the email as I didn't have time. Was going to do it today and had the surprise waiting for me. Very nice story about Rich. I still prefer the hard copy too.

Hilari, if you like or don't get yours for some reason, I'll forward you a copy of mine. BTW the DSL version downloaded in less than a minute despite the warning.

I have been a member of the Collector's Society for at least two years, and I have never received a Legacy through the email provided to Harbour Lights. I realize that is how the Legacy is sent to the members, but for some reason, I have never received one since the paper copies were stopped. Of course, that would mean that I will not receive the email from Tony at Harbour Lights. Is there some reason I have been left out of the loop, and what has to be done to correcct the situation? I would appreciate any information from anyone who might be able to help. Thank you.

Scott

Scott - The fastest way to receive your electronic copy and to ensure that you will receive emails in the future is to call 1-800-365-1219 and ask to speak to Kathy. She can check you out right away and see where the problem is.

I would like to say, despite not receiving the email with the link automactically, HLs is very very responsive to collectors requests.

I sent them an email today, Monday May 8th, regarding not receiving an email with a link for the Lighthouse Legacy, and I received an email response with the latest edition of the Legacy within 2 hours!

Thank You HL!

Here's a synopsis of the stories you missed if you're not a member of the Harbour Lights Collectors Society:

1. Nice cover photo of El Morro by Lorie Roe
2. Column "From My Perspective" by Tony Constantino
3. More details on Mackinaw Anchor Bay introduction with reproduction of special pin-back button being distributed June 10
4. Collectors Corner feature on Rich Feltzer
5. Story by Harry Hine on why Admiralty Head was coming out again
6. My Dealer And Me - featuring Lighthouse Gallery & Gifts, Winchester Bay OR and our own Bob McKeon
7. Story with photos of wedding of Aaron and Kathy Johns (formerly Kathy Dowling)
8. Club Connection - "Hoosiers Put Their Hands Where Their Heart Is" Spring Clean-up
9. Kids Corner - new book for kids by J. Candace Clifford "Mind the Light, Katie"
10. Open letter from Don Devine

And more...

If you sent club information or other story ideas, look for them in the next issue which will be coming up very soon. If you've got ideas for features or individuals or dealers who should be featured, please email me: webmaster@harbourlights.com.

Club events(not just mine) are coming up very soon too, and will not be timely in the next issue. May 20th and July 16th.
I think the time factor should have been considered, maybe bumping a current article to the next. Just my opinion. I wouldn't even comment but I've been dug at twice and made all my deadlines for providing info on time. wink

Well Folks,

I did receive my electronic copy of the Legacy. But just like last time, I am unable to print it. Why not go back to a hard copy up front and forget about the electronic version?
