what's your preference?

Ryan Lee Watson
or
Sean Michael Watson

...44 days to the final decision

(Frank Lloyd Watson was ruled out on day 1. LOL)

I have a son named Ryan, so I am quite partial to that name. However, in kindergarten there were 3 boys named Ryan- it is quite a popular name!
Our daughter is Ashley, which is also a very common name.
Either way, I would not trade these names for anything else. These names suit these kids to a tee....

Congratulations in advance (hoping for another Ryan)

Sean Michael Watson seems to flow easier. Both are really nice names though.

That's mine also Paul. He would have my middle name and initials too with that particular choice.

How about Elmer? You won't find any other kids with that name.

On the serious side, my vote would be for Ryan.

Rod,

I'd go for the Ryan Lee that way you have a junior (sort of) without him being called junior.

I did that with my son- Douglas John Whelan. Same middle name, same initials.

Rod-man:

Why don't you auction the naming rights on ebay?

You could have the kid's college AND retirement funds set up before he's even born! Think big:

"Bank One Watson"
"Sony Watson"
"Die-Hard Watson"
"Power Ball Watson"
"Enron Watson" -- no, guess that one won't work

I'll have to go with Sean.

My boyfriend is a Sean M. so I guess I'm partial to that choice.

John,

There is a couple who has been trying to do just that- auction of the right to name their baby.

eBay has taken their auction down several times- the first time because they were not auctioning something physical.

The last I heard they were trying auctioning off the birth certificate with the right to fill in the name.

uh, first of all does Becky know your doing this? I like Sean myself, as a matter of fact my 4 year old is named Sean, But I must tell you he is quite possibly directly related to Satan somehow. I don't know that it has anything to do with his name though.

Also, kids love cartoons, prepare yourself now by watching Sponge Bob Square Parts on Nickelodeon. Quite possibly the best cartoon of modern day, well maybe not better than the simpsons.

Rod, I'm going to have to go with Sean Micheal. I agree with Ruthie, it just seems to flow better.

Now from a letter carriers point of view.

You name him Ryan Lee. In 22 years he decides to move out. He puts in a "change of address". Important letters come addressed to R.L. Watson. Are these letters for Rod or Ryan? The regular carrier probably knows. Wait a second, your regular carrier is on vacation. The casual carrier that they're paying $8.00 an hour doesn't know nor does he care. He forwards it onto Ryan. But it should have been delivered to Rod. Now it floats around in the mail stream for about a week or two before Ryan gets it. To late for you Rod, you just missed the deadline. You could of been a millionaire.

Sean Micheal, definitely Sean Micheal

My oldest son is named Sean.

My youngest grandson is named Ryan.

As far as a middle name, I'm not sure what you should do. My father's name is James, so I'm Robert James. My youngest son is Kevin James, my youngest grandson is Ryan James.

Pick a middle name that begins with a vowel and see what your future son's initials will spell out. My sister's initials spell out S-A-M, for Sandra Ann McKeon. Nice nickname unlike her married name Sandra Ann Gorman.

Of the two I prefer Sean (or Shaun) Michael. Trevor's a nice name. How 'bout Trevor Lloyd?

Wow, that's a tough one Rod!!! They're both great names and whichever one you choose will be perfect.

Of course Mr. Phelps would agree with me when I say.... There's always room for another "Digger"!!!!

And I liked Frank Lloyd Watson (think about it, same initials too!) But since that was shot down the first day, I'd have to go with Sean Michael.
