Hi Everyone,

In case anyone noticed I have been missing for the past eleven days, I have returned.

Patty and Mike will like the reason. Cooper decided I spend too much time on the computer and not enough with him. Being 6 months old and still able to get away with chewing on things, he decided to pull on wires on the outside of the house.

I don't know how he missed my basic phone line but managed to hit the computer line, but that's what he did. This morning I installed a fence around the phone junction that will serve the double purpose of keeping him from jumping on the meter reader. Then my daughter's fiancee stopped and reconnected the phone line so I could get online. Handy kid to have around.

So I am back.

Rich

Welcome Back Rick

Now, how did you know that we would like that story?

I hope that you are now spending more time with Cooper and that you didn't punish him remember...he's only a baby.

Patty

p.s. maybe you should teach him it's not good to chew on wires!

Glad your back on line Rich...Patty is right some wires could be deadly to little Cooper. Tell us more about him...I'm interested since his name is our last name.

Thanks Ruthie, (and you too Patty).

"Little Cooper" is a 55 pound yellow lab pup. He's just full of energy and jumps on everything. I think he may have already learned not to chew on wires. Fortunately it was low voltage phone wires instead of 110.

Saw lots of people walking their dogs with a little strap fitted over the dog's nose and inquired. They're called a "Gentle Leader." I purchased one and it was like a miracle. After about 100 yards of getting used to it, Cooper just fell in next to me and has been a pleasure to walk ever since. I can't recommend the Gentle Leader enough if you have a rambunctious dog.

Hey Rich, it's great having you back. Any way of disconnecting those phone wires from the interface box on the outside wall of the house and placing them in a piece of PVC? Slide one end of of the PVC into the bottom of the interface box, reattach the wires and bury the other end a few inches into the ground.
