Thanks for the tip! I will definitely set my VCR for that show, plus I found on their website some other interesting episodes that have lighthouses in them!

Thanks for the info on the lighthouse programs. It looks like it's time to set the old VCR in motion.

This looks like one show that airs on several dates & times, not different shows on each airtime. Is that how you understand it?

Speaking of TV shows on lighthouses, found myself unable to sleep last night so turned on tube and caught an old re-run of National Geographic's On Assignment episode about the moving of Block Island's Southeast Light ("Lighthouse To Go")...fascinating...went right to sleep after!

We just finished watching HGTV and their show of lighthouses. It aired in Charlotte, NC from 9:00 til 10:00 p.m. and was nicely done. I hope other forum members were able to catch it as there was some great information. The program was basically about those who have purchased some of these old sentinels and are now living in them. I agree with you, Tim, that it was generally nicely done. One thing I thought was confusing, especially to a non-lighthouse enthusiast, was when they were speaking about a lighthouse, but not the one they were standing in front of. Did you notice the HLs on display at Barcelona?

Sure did Dave... among others, thought I spotted an Assateague Glow in there somewhere. Tim - Keeping the flame lit...

Caught the show last night. I loved what they did with Hendricks Head. The beautiful views and nautical decorations made the place! And the Osprey were a nice touch. Makes me want to run out and buy a lighthouse!

Thanks for letting us know about this show. I watched April 15th at 8:00 p.m. central time. It was fun to watch.
I agree it was confusing at times. At first I didn't know they were referring to Grand Island North Lighthouse when they called it North Point in the UP on Lake Superior. I looked up what I thought it was in my book and then they came back to the lighthouse and talked more about it, I knew I was right.
Anyway, nice lighthouses and nicely restored & redecorated interiors. Glad I was able to catch the show.

I have noticed lately when I'm channel surfing late in the evening how many lighthouses show up unexpectedly. Also I was in Kmart this morning an just inside the door were three large banners, the first was featuring Pigeon point light. The flame burns brighter.Bill O'Brien oseabee

For those of you who missed the show on HGTV on Sunday night, it will be repeated on Wednesday, April 18 at 10:00 p.m.
It was a pretty neat show.

Bill,
What was the K-Mart Pigeon Point banner advertising or promoting?

Just watched the HGTV lighthouse program ... loved it! Especially the part on St. Joseph's Lighthouse ....was very neat to see the inside and the work being done to replicate the lantern room.
I was with the Tampa Bay HL Club in february and was in the Ratliffe's front yard, snapping photos of that light!!
Well done program, though a tad confusing due to the bouncing around, but it definitely was esthetically pleasing!!
