Good Wednesday Afternoon!
I was reading through the Forum and was a bit concerned to read the height and color ways of the LL 129 Thomas Point MD had been changed.I had also received a call for Bill Parrish informing me of these same changes.
Traditionally, when a color way or sizing is changed, Harry and I would discuss these changes and I would inform our Field Sales Representatives.
I took the time to call Harry and asked "What's up?" Honestly, Harry thought I was teasing him. I went to the Forum, read my notes from the conversation with Bill Parrish and from the tone of Harry's voice learned he is as mystified as I.
We have several ideas but no cold hard facts! (I am waiting for a Thomas Point Replica to come from the Calvert Marine Museum).
It appears that the 250 Replicas made for the Screw-pile dedication are an anomoly and future orders for this LLOM will reflect the color ways and sizing approved by arbour Lights.

Whoa...Hold on there Nelly.......I'm not so sure that you can say all 250. The two that I picked up there #218 and #219 appear to be the same size as the "Gold Thomas Point Dedication" piece. They look proportional to the other Thomas Point LLOM I have seen on dealers shelves. The stubbies may be more limited than 250. I have not yet compared the painting differences from the descriptions previously mentioned in another thread. Sean

I prefer the newest version. There appears to be more painting detail. Since there are now two versions I will have to try and find an original TP LLOM to add to the collection. The photos cleared everything up for me. Thanks Paul! Thanks Tony!

Sorry I had not seen this thread before. The "gold" one Paul shows was created by me for the special "Bill Younger Screwpile Dedication Event" held at Thomas Point on Sept 14, 2007. They were made from the regular Little Light, not from the limited edition ones offered about that time from Calvert Marine Museum. They were simply spray painted with gold paint. 50 pieces were prepared; 35 were distributed to those in attendance at the Bill Event. The 35 included a special bottom label "Signed at Thomas Point Lighthouse 9/14/2007" with Bill's signature. Each was enclosed in a glass dome on a walnut base with a special 'coaster' inside the dome commemorating the event. The fact that the gold one in Paul's comparison images above seems taller/shorter than the other two I think is attributable to manufacturing of the metalwork pieces and assembly variations in different production runs.

Thanks Paul. He looks happy, too. You might tell the story of getting those pieces actually signed AT the lighthouse without showing them to anyone else on the tour.

I made sure that Bill got to both get on the lighthouse from the boat first, but also got him in the lighthouse first and used Ken Reese and Ron Foster as interference while he was in a room signing them so that nobody saw them until we got back on shore at the special luncheon and Bill presented them to those who were at the day's special dedication of a screw-pile at Thomas Point named in Bill's honor. John, Didn't you at one time have some for sale? Are any still available? HCS
