Do you mean the model, or the lighthouse. I've seen the lighthouse and could post pictures if you want.

I think he's referring to one of the new releases from Harbour Lights. I haven't seen one yet.

Thanks for the responses grandmaR and Grace. I have photos of the lighthouse as well as the Harbour Lights piece. Would like to hear from someone who has actually seen the Harbour Lights piece. I'm on order with my dealer, but haven't heard anything yet.

Bill -

Checked with Kathy Johns this morning and she said that Piney Point and Galveston Jetty standing orders will begin shipping from HQ today. Figure 7-10 days for arrival at dealers with standing orders.

I have one of these if you have a question about detail or something.

Actually, if they did ship out on Friday, all Northeast dealers should have them on Monday (Tuesday at the latest). The final "Little Light" to arrive, Spring Point Ledge, was supposed to be on the same container ship, as well as a new shipment of HL336 - Mystic Seaport, which had been on backorder to dealers for the past couple months.

Piney Point and Galveston Jetty did arrive at New England dealers this morning, so West Coast dealers should have them by Friday.

Both pieces look great! Piney Point has a lot of similarities to their Turkey Point piece, minus the hinged tower.

I received and Artist Proof of Piney Point last week. This is in conjunction with it's release and the Maryland Lighthouse Challenge. The Chesapeake Chapter, USLHS, will be raffling this piece, and drawing to be held at the Challenge on Sunday, September 17th. It's a beauty, and I can't wait to pick up my piece from my dealer when it arrive.

I'll post more on the Challenge later, and announce formally, this is informally, that Harry Hine will be at Piney Point Challenge weekend.

Returned from a trip to New England last week and retrieved a phone message from my dealer that my Piney Point, MD was in. Picked it up today, #260. Great detail.

I received my Piney Point and Galveston Jetty via UPS yesterday. The expensive Galveston Jetty is impressive, and it should be for the price. Even though the Piney Point is well done, it's kind of plain.

Galveston Jetty is now on display while the Piney Point is now in storage.

What do you think of the latest HL offerings?

I have purchased Galveston. I'm collecting selected lighthouses along the Gulf Coast.

Not sure if I'm going to buy Piney Point. I'm currently not collecting the Cheasapeak Bay area lighthouses, but that may change.

I think both Galveston and Piney look great.

I tend to agree with Bob, although I didn't buy it (haven't seen it, now I can't), Galvetson is awsome. Have seen and did buy Piney Point, in fact I just put it in the cabinet last night after picking it up almost two weeks ago. I like the brick detail on the tower, but it's otherwise kinda plain. Now just waiting for the Christmas piece and most importantly my Big Mac to arrive!

But that's kind of the point, isn't it?

The real Piney Point is rather a plain lighthouse, but beautiful, once you've stood in it's presense. We collectors wouldn't be too happy if HL had chosen to "dress" it up, would we?

I don't have it yet (not an auto ship collector), but, I will. I think it's beautiful. laugh

I love Piney Point. It was one of the lights I visited prior to the MD Reunion and thought it was very pretty. Galveston Jetty is not a pretty light but it is one of ours (TX) and it is incredibly well done, so I will get it - eventually. Right now all my funds are being funneled towards the Maine Regional event. smile
