We got our Fort Point too (#5648 for those of you keeping score). However, the thing is in two pieces. Seperates at the light chamber. This is the first time I've seen that. I'm assuming a production mistake......?

Sarge, I would assume it's a mistake. you are the first I've heard with a detachable lantern room. If you contact HL, and you send it back they will replace it.
