Does anybody know when Harbour Lights is going to announce the new 2007 year lighthouses?

Hopefully, it will be real soon. I'm hoping the new releases will be fewer in number as mentioned before, and spaced out so there would roughly be one new release every month or so. Time will tell and it's almost 2007 already. Bob

Looking forward to hearing about the 2007 lighthouses as well. My expectations are they won't be announced till early January. In another tread the number of LE's was mentioned. I think its was around 18 or 19. That includes the Collector Society pieces, event pieces, & one Achor Bay. Not sure if that includes a CF piece(or it there is even going to be one). Hoping for a great 2007 !!!

From Tony Contantatino 12-4-06 2007 Product Release
I realize that many of you are anxious to know what the Winter 2007 Releases are and when Harbour Lights will make the announcement.
At this writing, we plan to have the 2007 Harbour Lights catalog in the mail to our Dealers by Friday, 5 January 2007. The mailing goes first class!
Regarding the actual release of individual Replicas, it is not practical to release one at a time; Dealers are very conscience of the cost of freight and I have committed that Harbour Lights will work to keep freight costs under control. With that in mind, at this writing, we plan to release two new Replicas at a time.
Watch for the 15 December “Special Edition” of The Lighthouse Legacy for Society Members, one very special piece will make its debut.

Maybe it's one of next years Collectors Society pieces. Either the signup piece or club exclusive.

Only three more days and we will have a glimpse at the first of many HL's for 2007. Any educated guesses as to the area it will be from or maybe even the light itself? My guess would be a light from the Northeast and maybe even from Maine. Place your bets, Ladies and Gentlemen! Bob

My guess is something from Lake Superior area.
Whatever it is, I'll be happy as long as a few lighthouses from the area's I collect are included in the 2007 releases.

I'll be shutting my computer off until after Christmas for vacation so I'll have to wait. Maybe one of the hotels on the way down will have one I can use!

I would like to see one from Vermont. Several have been suggested and my hopes is that one will make the grade as they are all good choices. After all it has been a long time since we heard from Vermont.

Wood Island Lighthouse in Maine will probably be on the 2007 list.

I would love to see Wood Island, Maine in 2007. That is the Lighthouse I request on every reg. card. I would buy two and send one to our friend Donna in Maine, her and her family are like family to us.

Good to see lower prices ($65-$75 range) versus the 2006 second half releases which seem to range $75-$99. Lower editions are great for collectors but one would suspect that the 2007 first half releases might signal lessor known lighthouses which might not sell as well as say a "Point Bonita". I guess after 10 years, there are just a handful of big names left (How 'bout New London Light???)
Suspect sales are not that good right now for HL. I noticed on the largest on-line dealer that they are now offering the 2006 Christmas release for 12 percent off.

Does this really set a good example for both the dealers who follow the rules, and the collectors who paid full price these past few months? Simply put, "No, it doesn't." If one dealer can offer a discount then all dealers should be authorized to utilize that same discount. That authorization would have to come directly from Harbour Lights and may set a dangerous trend for the future. Would that be a good thing? In my estimation, it would not be a good thing. Yet again, I'm only one collector among thousands. Bob

I wonder whether "price reduction" or "sale" restrictions in advertising has changed. I always thought (maybe wrong) that you could not advertise lower than "list price". I think this was the first instance of my ever seeing a retailer advertising a lower than "list price", although I have seen many dealers reducing prices to help move inventory, either with a store sign or thru direct calling of known collectors. I am actually quite surprisedthat the 2006 Christmas piece did not sell out and had to be reduced. Perhaps the $99 price is just too high and interestingly, the 2007 early releases don't go above the $75 mark.
