The ship has docked, or to be more precise, UPS has delivered 7 beautiful pieces to my front door. The 7 that arrived are Mapling Sands, 1876 Centenial Exposition, Egg Rock, Cleveland Harbor, Old Alcatraz, Stratford Shoals and the Narcissus. The Narcissus, followed by Maplin Sands and the 1876 Exposition pieces, are my immediate favorites. The remaining 4 are not far behind. I also am thrilled by the smaller footprints and the fact that the "big crunch" to the credit card is done and the only expenses for the rest of the spring is the Society Pieces and the Fastnet Lens. These will be coming later in the late spring/early summer so the card will have a chance to cool down. It's surprising I'm the first to post on the actual arrival of these pieces, unless I missed the post somewhere else. Everyone got talking about #9 Egg Rock in the previous post so I figured I would start a new post about the arrivals.

I didn't see a redemption card for the Jordan Point in this group so I guess I'll give HLs a call in the morning. I'd like to hear other opinions on the new arrivals so maybe we can strike up some old time reviews giving your likes and dislikes about these pieces.

Seahorse thread has postings that indicate others have received their pieces, and I think there was something in another thread but can't recall which topic it was in.

My local dealer received these pieces last week. From what I've seen so far, my opinions are the same as I posted when these pieces were announced. Some are great, some are not. Let's hope no more international pieces for awhile!

One exception to my original comments. The Expo piece does look nice, but still feel it more a historic building then a once operational lighthouse. Would have been better to release this as an anniversary piece.

I hope the next batch of releases are better!

So, it appears that other then Bob Taylor, Sandy and myself, no one else has received any of the new issues and other then Loon and myself, no one else has any opinions on how they look.

Loon, almost every lighthouse is a historic building and the lighthouse is still operational. I have to disagree with you on this group of lighthouses, I think Harry has produced a fantastic group of lighthouses with this release.

I have received four lighthouses from this group. Here on the left coast it takes a few days longer. I like them all.

The only new piece I bought was the tender Narcissus. This is a great piece. The pictures do not show the great amount of detail that is there. This piece has to be seen to really appreciate it. The size is just right. A home run on this one.

Picked up from my dealer yesterday Exposition, Stratford and Narcissus. The detail and footprint of these are great in my opinion with Narcissus being a WOW !

I have received my Egg Rock (of course) and Old Alcatraz and Cleveland Harbor. The detail, as always, is great. I don't mind the size, on this bunch, but next to the other lights, they look like a separate collection.
I am buying everything except the Narcissus and the Exposition piece, but the first is for logistical reasons, rather than any dislike of the piece, and the second is because I just don't like it.
I bought a couple at a time, and am anxious for the last (save the Lens) to arrive. I know the Lens will be far behind the others.

I would be happy just to SEE these new pieces on a dealer's shelf somewhere...but the problem out west here is, most dealer's are gone, and what few are left don't have the newer pieces on display because they can't sell the old ones...
