UPS brought a box from my Oregon dealer today -- including Bass Harbor OH, Panama set and Coquille River OR.
I was surprised that the Coquille River item is the third in the 'Signature Series' - complete with hand-signed label on the bottom.
Unlike Tybee and Thomas Point, there is not a reminiscence by Bill. However, there is a miniature copy of a letter addressed to Bill from John A. Kitzhaber MD, the Governor or Oregon.
Dear Mr. Younger:
I was recently informed of your personal interest in the Coquille River Lighthouse located at the mouth of the Coquille River in Banadon, Oregon. As you know, this particular lighthouse is in desparate need of restoration. I understand that you have pledge to financially support the restoration efforts and thank you for your future contributions on behalf ot the citizens of Oregon.
I encourage you to release your Harbor (sic) Lights "Great Lighthouses of the World" series depicting the Coquille lighthouse. The Coquille lighthouse was the last lighthouse build on the Oregon coast and is the smallest. It is indeed unique and worth of our attention.
Sincerely,
(Signed)
John A. Kitzhaber, M.D.
You may know that sometimes the copyright date on the flag does not match the date on the label; such is the case with HL427 with the flag reading "Coquille River OR (C) 1998"
The label reads (c) 1999.
