Just received my Rose Island GLOW today and I think it's wonderfully done. I think the flashing light is a little bright but beyond that it is very well done. I wonder what the rest of you think about this one. I know that GLOW's aren't the greatest topic of conversation on these forums, but those of you who know that I collecet mainly New ENgland Lights, know that I must have one of each made by HL. Let's hear it for ROse Island. Bert

Once again, I don't buy GLOWs. I already have two Rose Island LEs in my collection, one is the reunion piece while the other is the society piece. Please don't take my replies about these GLOWs as being all negative. My personal preference is to not purchase GLOWs because the LE's I have take up all the space I can spare. All the current releases by Harbour Lights are very well done so I cannot be critical of their workmanship. Harbour Lights makes a great product whether it's a GLOW or LE. Bob

Just slightly off topic for a second - Bob, is there any visual diference between the two Rose Island pieces (616 and 614)? If so, what are they?

I am not Bob, but there are several visual differences between the two versions..
The GLOW version is one the best GLOW's that HL's has done IMHO...

Just received my Rose Island this afternoon. It's rather nice and has a lot of intricate detail. But for some reason it appears rather dull. I really don't know why.
Maybe that's just me. I'd give it a 6.5 -- but what do I know?
