Can't wait for this one to start shipping...based on BY's comments during our dinner meeting last nite, it's going to be a definite WOW! I only hope that the C of A correctly describes the island as "uninhabited"...the Product Preview page on the main website describes it as "uninhibited"! (Just what were those Boy Scouts up to anyway?)

I see St. Helena has made it to E-Bay already. I didn't think it was being released till mid April. Has anyone seen one at their dealers yet? http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1123997822

Can anyone answer jchesher's question about St. Helena? I saw the listing on e-bay and they sure made it sound like they had one to ship and were not pre-selling. Can anyone shed some light on this? Inquiring minds need to know.

This has got to be one of the neatest ideas.... two lighthouses in one. I love it. My hubby even thought it was a neat picture ... (hmmm, now what state is that in .... when can I visit it? That way I can be sure of buying it!!)

St. Helena is an island in the Straits of Mackinac. You can see a distant view from the old fort in Mackinaw City. You need a really good lens to get a shot of it. As far as getting there, I'mnot sure if there is a regular way to get there. Maybe hire a private craft?

In case you're not familiar with the Mackinaw area, its located at the top of the lower pennsula of Michigan. If you're on the Mackinaw Bridge [in the southbound lane] it is located on the right side [western], but, as Cana said, its pretty hard to see except from the water. Back in '94 I sailed fairly close to it on the 93 foot "NINA" [reproduction]. Thats the closest I've ever gotten to it.

Does anyone have any updates on the supposed April ship date for St. Helena? Is it still due out this month or will it slip?

Last week on my visit to El Cajon I was able to get a close look at the St. Helena AP. As great as Paul's pictures are, this one just has to be held to truly appreciate all that HL has done with/to it. It is simply fantastic, and a wonderful tribute to LH restoration efforts. I can't wait to have my very own St. Helena.

It's been six days now since they started shipping. Isn't it odd that nobody has one yet? The post usually start a couple of days after shipment starts. Not this time. I am still patiently waiting.

Picked it up this morning. WOW!!!! Hats off to HL's this is a beautiful piece. GLLKA members, The Beacon features St. Helena in it's current issue on the cover and an artical on the Boy Scouts rebuilding the boathouse. Also, on the back cover GLLKA recognizes Harbour Lights on it's version of St Helena.

We picked up our St. Helena yesterday. Love the instructions that came with it -- only one question remains . . .
Is the tree suppose to lean towards the lighthouse or away form it ? ? ?

I was real slow in getting mine this time. My dealer usually gets their shipment about 10-14 days after they start appearing elswhere. Mine just came in Thursday. Roughly the same number I always get, just slow getting it. In any case it is here and prominently displayed. It was worth the wait. wink
