Just showing off my new avatar...thanks to Paul Brady who helped me..considerably! A crop from my original and sized and uploaded by Paul. I've always especially liked this side of Portland Head, maybe because it shows off the porch and the dark teal paint. It's always nice to strut new stuff, and since I am now a permanent resident of Maine, I needed a Maine lighthouse for my avatar. Thank you kindly, Paul Brady!  Judy

Judy, great picture. This is one of my most favorite lighthouses because I like the area and because it is the very first HL lighthouse that I purchased.

It was on October 7, 2006 sometime after 8:40AM, which is the time stamp on my image of the bus arriving at Portland Head Light, Sue and I drove separately since the bus was full and that way I could take pictures of the bus load of collectors leaving one place and arriving at the next..  I shot this one while waiting on the bus to arrive.. More Images of that Morning

At 2:00AM in a driving rainstorm with some hail mixed in.. Or at about 5:00AM waiting for sunrise and hundreds of mosquito's using my bald head as an aircraft carrier to land on, of course the sunrise was worth it!!

It was the postcard that came with the revised Open Edition Harbour Lights of Portland Head I will search the way machine and see if I can locate a copy. I believe it was either in 1998 or 1999. I was using film, you remember film, don't you?
