Just curious as to how many of you "fathers" got lighthouses for Father's Day, and what are they. And/or did any of you get your favorite father a lighthouse, and what is it?

just did my usual last minute Fther's Day card shopping (like everyone else) and saw tons of cards with lighthouses on them. Does that count as getting a lighthouse for Father's Day??

I was lucky enough to add Grand Haven MI to my collection for Father's Day. I picked it out myself at the mall this weekend, but it was with my wife's blessing as a Father's Day present. Any time I can buy a new lighthouse and not be in the "doghouse" is a good day!

No new lighthouses for me. Then again, the only ones I need are $300 and more; so I guess I'm blessed anyway.

I had a great fathers day - watched the U S Open and my wife presented me with 3 new Harbour Lights that had recently been delivered by the UPS man: Old Point Comfort, Fort Jefferson and Beckoning Beacons. Now I am just waiting for Boca Grande.

I got two. One was on the card from my mother-in-law and the other was an Alcatraz LLOM. I got in trouble with my wife when she asked me if I had it already and I said yes. Not a problem, I'm sure I can find a place for it. Dennis

No new lights for me... but I had the chance to drive up the coast today - I stopped by Heceta Head, and I photographed the small, private, Cleft of the Rock lighthouse at Cape Perpetua.. It was a great day down there.. and a very nice "gift"

My oldest son surprised me with Oak Island yesterday, and last week on my birthday, gave me Round Island. Did I raise this kid right, or what?

I just want to wish all you dads out there very happy father's day. I also want to include those of you who don't have children of your own, but maybe a niece or nephew who looks up to you, a friend's child that considers you a role model, and those of you, like myself, who have four-legged "kids" who depend on you.

No HL's for Dad's Day. I have a standing order for one of each from my dealer so that eliminates the HL gifts. For you boaters in the crowd, I did receive a year's membership to "Safe Sea". For you home bodies, I will also be having my driveway sealed as a gift.

It was a very nice Father's Day!

My wife surprised me by getting the air conditioning in my car repaired. She borrowed my car on Friday under the guise of picking up some bedding plants and not wanting to soil her new van's carpeting. Also got a sundial and a book about building water gardens. (I think Mariann wants me to spend more time in the yard.)

My kids gave me a year's subscription to Lighthouse Digest and a Beanie Bill Doll.

A day earlier was Mariann's birthday. I presented her with that Key West LE that I purchased a couple of months ago.

Not a stupid question. Go to lhdigest.com and follow the link to the magazine. This is the combined web site for LH Digest & LH Depot. Very interesting. Didn't take time to look, but it is new look since last time I was there.

Rock, Yes it counts.

It is really great to hear all the stories, it seems as if all who has posted had a great day. Lighthouses or not.
I will be getting a HOTM, but it hasn't got here yet. But mostly had a great time because both my girls came over and brought the grandkids!

I think that I'm going to find a new family. No HL's for my birthday, no HL's for my Anniv. and no HL's for Father's Day. My wife told me that with the lower edition numbers and increased prices her favorites are just getting too expensive for her to buy anymore.

Gravedigger, has your wife been on E-bay lately? From what I can see there, most of the HL's are (sadly) a steal...

Rusty, had to have HOTM because I was there last year w/the USLHS group and we got to put on hard hats and go right up to the light, frolic around the base, and hear a talk by one of Int'l Chimney's big guns, a real highlight of the tour.

The family was vacationing along the beach in Florida on Father's Day. Along with a card came a promise of a lighthouse that was waiting back home. As promised, my 13 and 16 year old sons gave me Beavertail, RI when we returned home. The vacation was great. Father's day was great. And another Harbour Light is always welcome.

No lighthouse for my husband, but the kids gave up a set of lighthouse dishes for summer fun.
