Test photos - 01/31/02 04:47 AM

This shot was taken in the twilight last Saturday night at South Haven from the North Pier looking south. You almost never can get out there to get this shot this time of year due to the trecherous ice it's usually covered in. Had to take advantage of the opportunity to shoot this!

Second test - wanted to check to see if I can successfully pull photos from my gallery on Nikon Net. For anyone interested, this shot was taken of the Sturgeon Bay North Pierhead light last June. It was a 4 min exposure on Fuji Provia 100F professional slide film shot at about 9:20 PM when the sky was actually black. The color is due to the reciprocity failure of the film. This particular image was entered in, and took first place in the color photography category of the annual Door County Maritime Museum's juried photographic contest last year.

Ahhhhh I can post from Nikon Net... how convenient!

Hope anyone seeing this enjoys the photos from these test sessions tonight. Future posts from some of my lighthouse photographic trips will be in The Map Room.

Best regards,
Gary
