The Buy/Sell/Trade Forum - 08/19/98 10:51 PM
Kim Andrews asked me to post this message about the Buy/Sell/Trade Forum:
The "Buy / Sell / Trade" Forum has been removed while we wrestle with our corporate concerns.
It has always been our policy to be totally uninvolved with the secondary selling of retired Harbour Lights. While we recognize that an active secondary market is an indication of the value individual collectors place on a collectible such as Harbour Lights, we cannot in any way attempt to participate in or control this market.
When the forums were moved from LighthouseKeepers.com, I was not aware that one of those forums had to do with the buying and selling of lighthouses on the secondary market. When I became aware of this, I asked the Webmaster to shut this one Forum down while we explored the alternatives.
We have been checking other collectible web sites and have found some which offer forum-like activities and others that do not. Some sites refer visitors to a collectibles classified ad area or auction service, most of which appear to charge a fee for the service.
Please bear with us for a few days while we further research the alternatives for our collectors.
