500 Registered on Forums on 8/10/99

The 500th registered user of the Collector Forums signed up today (as did #498 and #499.

Congratulations to all. We'll tell you about the donuts after you've been on line for a while.

However... In searching registered users records for those who have 0 posts, there are 124 of you. That kind of shoots a big hole in the 500 celebration! Don't know how those records passed my purge a while ago, but they did.

If you've registered and not posted, time to get active. If you've forgotten your name or password, click on the "Profile" at the top of the main Forums page.

Perhaps we should discriminate between 'Registered users' and 'Participating members'.

Alternatively, folks who have registered but not posted are assigned a 'Clam' status, and only achieve Newbiehood by posting a message. Instead of listing registerants, list number of Wackos, Newbies, and Clams.

Having a clambake here tomorrow for 16. But that's only 7.75 each, unless a few more clams sign up real quick.

Tim - I see a more recent version of the Forum software that lists the individual's number of posts as it now shows their status.

But I don't think I can divide 'users' into more than Newbie and WACKO. I'll ask for it. Though
