The last words in the instructions on adding a signature say that images aren't permitted..
Signature: Signatures can appear at the bottom of your posts. This option may be disabled by the message board administrators at any time, however. You may use UBB Code™ in your signature, but not HTML. UBB Code™ Images not permitted.
Is that new? I did see the "Images not permitted" but didn't know if it was a caution that referred to the UBB code itself or just to writing a signature using it. That's why I asked
You can add a photo of yourself in your profile. When visitors click on your "sunglasses" icon, they will see that photo of you. Best size for these images is about 75x100 pixels. Upload them as you would any other image, save the URL and follow these instructions:
1. Click on "My Profile" 2. Click on "Edit Profile" 3. Under /Profile Features/Interests/ enter the full URL of your image 4. Scroll to bottom of page and click on "Update Profile"
I've added my picture so you can test this out.
I've also changed my avatar to a 75x75 pixel image of myself. (Temporarily, thank God!)
Meanwhile, I think I'd walk right past John until I heard his distinctive voice say, "Hi Bob". wow, thats quite a change. I remember the red faced John at the top of a Fire Island and Montauk lighthouse climbs - many moons ago!
