Software Upgrade Coming Up - 03/30/08 02:13 AM
We're operating on a software program that is no longer supported by the makers. Last time we upgraded was in 2002.
We're working towards making a smooth transition to the latest software sometime in the next 30 days.
This has become necessary because a problem has occured (first one since 2002) which prevents new members from registering.
Step #1 was to make a backup of all the files associated with the forums. That meant downloading 1.5 GB in 55,000+ files, photos and folders. That took about 6 hours or so of download time.
We hope that the transition to a new software (developed by the same folks) will mean we can retain all the posts and photos.
The 'look and feel' might change a bit and it will take a while for the Saints to get used the a new Control Panel, etc.
We'll give you a heads up as to when the change will take place.
Please make certain your profile - including your email address - is up-to-date. This includes our members who are cruising through periodically without posting!!!
