Sounds neat. Can hardly wait to see it. I'm glad Harry is still making pieces.

Isle Royal will not be coming out this year. COVID, and a few other things, (but especially COVID) has really screwed up everything. With Harry still making Toledo Harbor lenses and Barbers Point himself in his workshop with no other choice of manufacturing facilities at present, development and especially production logistics are very, very difficult in these trying times. The pandemic has taken its toll financially as well and the cost of developing the new lighthouse is beyond the means at present. I know Harry is doggedly working on the line and refuses to let it go. He is determined to make this line succeed and give you loyal lighthouse lovers and collectors something to look forward to.
If you haven't purchased Rock Island, Palmer Island, or Barbers Point as of yet, it would be a great time now to do it if you can. The financial stimulus would be much welcome! Get yours now at https://www.harryhine.com/ or at https://www.thecapecodstore.com/harry_hine_studios/harry_hine.html

Hi Roland,

How does Harry choose which new lighthouses to make with his new company? How many has he made so far, just the three? I don't know much about Harry nor did i know much about Bill Younger. Thanks for any feedback. Todd

Look in Volume 2L which is dedicated to Harry. Harry is the son-in-law of Bill and Nancy Younger and a very talented artist and designer. All the information on which lighthouses (and lens) are in this volume. Harry's next lighthouse (as planned) will be Isle Royal sometime in 2021 if all goes as planned. You can still get ALL of Harry's creations from Roland or all but Jones Point, VA which is sold out from Harry.

Rich you can still purchase The Jones point at "The Cape Code Store" at secondary market price. Also Harry takes request that you can post on this forum. Change your settings from 3 months to unlimited and the post will come up "Harry's wish list"
The "Jones Point" was made from my request. The Barber Point and the Toledo Fresnel light are both hand made by Harry. All are 300 max production. and a good chance the Toledo Fresnel lens will never come near that.

Harry's choice of which lighthouse to make quite often goes back to his Harbour Lights days. A few of them, (Jones Point, Rock Island, Toledo Harbor Lens) were researched and designs started with release intended for Harbour Lights. When HL went belly-up and Harry decided to start up his own company, he dusted off the old designs and tweaked them a bit to suit what he was doing. Palmer Island was done as a favor to me. I requested that one and it happened to work perfectly within the parameters of what he was trying to accomplish with size and price at that time. Barbers Point was a request that Rich had made long ago and his persistence, (i. e. "nagging". lol!) convinced Harry to make it. Isle Royale is on the table because the private owner of the lighthouse contacted me to see if it had ever been made by Harbour Lights. I referred her to Harry. It was one that Harry had started working on years ago at Harbour Lights and she convinced him to revisit it and finish the design. As you can see, Harry is always open to suggestions. If a lighthouse has the right aesthetics and is one that has not been made before by Harbour Lights, he may just consider it. Sometimes it will take years before a piece is made because Harry just isn't happy with the design or technology and cost at that time just don't make his design feasible. After some time he may look at the design with a different eye and recreate it into a piece that better suits his artistic eye.
