Hoosier Lighthousing Club Fall Cleanup

Hoosier Lighthousing Club Fall Cleanup - 09/19/10 10:18 PM

The HLC gathered at the Old Michigan City on Saturday September 18, 2010 for our annual cleanup. We had a terrific crew and the "swabbies" all earned their rassion's of rum and bread...yoho me hardies yo-ho!! All kidding aside, everyone pitched in and made light work of weeding the gardens, painting the stairs to the lantern room, hanging new Christmas lights and sealing the deck, as well as making plans for the upcoming Christmas party. On Friday and Saturday night we were able to gather in the hospitality suite that Dave H. had arranged at the Clarion hotel. Our onboard photographer Paul B. jumped ship this time out and so you will have to bear with me as I attempt to get some pics that I took posted soon. As usual it was a great gathering of friends and fellow lighthouse lovers!!

Wow, the new lights look great...great job!

A flower pic for Paul, this is as good as it gets when the resident photographer is AWOL!

At the end of the day the "crew" that were still there hung the beautiful plaque that was made by the Old Michigan City historical society to honor the HLClub for their hard work. It was placed on the door that leads to the lantern room.

WOW, Kat, you did a great job with the posting and the photos are great. I'm sure Paul will be very proud of you too. You all should be so proud of yourselves. Love the plaque giving the club the most deserving dedication.

WELL DONE HOOSIER CLUB FRIENDS! vhappy

I second Ruthie's comments, Kat.. Great job with the pics and of course a great job by everyone at the Old Michigan City Lighthouse Museum..

Doyne and Cindy gave us a report when they stopped by Sunday after we got home.. Doyne is going to redo the floors in 3 of our rooms, one more item in the remodeling our home..

I always enjoy seeing the work done by Hoosier club for this lighthouse.

And Kat did a great job with the pics, I thought they were Paul's. I had to scroll back up to see who posted them.
