Christmas editions - 01/13/07 04:23 PM

I have never seen any of the christmas editions. They look good in pictures, but I'm wondering about the size. Are they about the size of the normal GLOW'S (400 series)? Also are they serial numbered?

Russ, the Christmas pieces are the size of normal LEs. They are numbered, with the exception of the first one - Big Bay. For the past several years the Christmas pieces have been lighted, perhaps causing some confusion that they were GLOWs.

And Christmas pieces are numbered on the stick-on label on the bottom of the piece. The "Flag" itself has "Christmas XXXX" with "XXXX" being the year of the piece.

With the exception of Big Bay (1st Christmas Piece) the Christmas pieces are usually available from EBAY or the Collectors Forums at or below retail. Big Bay brings a premium.

I bought both Colchester Reef and Big Bay from a forums member several years ago; I don't recall what I paid but I know it was a good deal. I felt lucky to be able to complete my Christmas collection. smile
