St, Augustine, FL - 10/26/07 06:13 AM

Received HL 671, St. Augustine, FL--the 2004 Regional Exclusive purchased from a CF member and have a couple of questions. . . .

The Certificate of Authenticity indicates it's ". . .an authentic Great Lighthouses of the World Figurine. . ." Box label and label on bottom of piece indicate it's the 2004 Regional Exclusive. Copy on the C of A is identical to what's shown on pages 278 and 279 of the Official Collector's Guide. There's no indication in the Guide that this item was a GLOW. Were all Cs of A shipped with this piece the same as what I received? Was what was sent with my sculpture a mistake?

Also, any thoughts or insight on why the St. Augustine Renovation came out in 2005 and this one came out in 2004. Seems backward to me but hey! what do I know??

Thanks,

Sandy

HELLO!! Anybody out there? Don't want to be a nag, but somebody must have at least a guess if not the facts.

Your seller put in the wrong CA. Probably had all the CAs stored in a shoebox or notebook and just pulled the wrong one.

The copy in the Collectors Guide for each lighthouse was taken from the most recent introduction of a Harbour Lights of that lighthouse. That usually meant the GLOW version.

Call HL and ask them to send you the correct CA.

Thanks John--much appreciated.

P.S. Any thoughts on why the renovation piece was done after the renovated piece was done?

Sandy - My COA for St Augustine is also a GLOW COA and my store does not remove them from the box. They open, inspect and ship them so these COAs for GLOWs have to originate from HL.

All the 2004 HL671 St Augustine’s came with a GLOW COA. Since this is a regional event piece, I would assume that the GLOW coa was a factory mistake.

I would assume that St Augustine convinced HL to make a St Augustine Event piece in 2004

Then when 2005 came around it was the year of 20th anniversary of the restoration of the St Augustine Lighthouse. No better way to celebrate than to make a commemorative lighthouse of the restoration in progress.

Here are more details.
I guess we never found out for sure what happened. Rich called HL about the st augustine GLOW event piece and at that time they didn't know anything and was to get back with Rich.

Then it was all forgotten.

"Well I received my revised COA for the St. Augustine Regional Exclusive. It now indicates that it is a " Limited Edition Figurine strictly "limed" to production on 2004 ". Obviously limited was mis-spelled . I pointed that out to HL and they indicated that they would be correcting the COA once again and the revised ones would be available in 4-6 weeks."
Does anyone know if HL did, in fact, correct the "corrected" COA? Was/is it possible to obtain all three COAs if the response to the latter question is "Yes."

Daniel--mucho thanks for the link.

Yes HL did come out with the revision to the revision of this COA. I have the second revision in my files. HL will have to answer as to whether or not all three versions are now available.

Received the corrected version of the COA for this piece showing usual map and location of the light and certifying this is an authentic Harbour Lights Limited Edition Figurine. "Rhonda" emailed back that she was unable to locate any of the "limed" COAs.

Most likely all the "limed" ones were shreaded when HL was made aware of the typo.

Rhonda is very helpful getting COA's and ten cards. If one still existed, she would have found it.
