There is some unbelievable detail in the lantern room. A really great piece - well designed, well scuplted and well cast. I would hope this one goes quickly!

Anyone have a problem with Umpqua not lighting up?
I tried 2 different sets of batteries and it doesn't light.

Mine worked fine from the start, obviously in the images. Maybe you need to contact your dealer or Harbour Lights.. 1-800-365-1219 to see what to do as the next step.

I said it before; "this will sell-out before the second half editions are released."

This piece's detailing is a testament to the Harbour Lights design team. Price will not deter buyers from purchasing this piece after seeing Paul's picture essay or first hand viewing at your HL's dealer. I'm thrilled with this purchase, but still eagerly await Ponham Rocks.

Actually, my husband was able to fix it. A wire became unsoldered , so he soldered it back into place.

How are the Umpquas marked?
and where?
On the base? Label?
"#56 of 1200"

Re: HL802 Umpqua River Lens - 03/18/09 05:57 PM

I would think it would be marked the same way as all the other Harbour Light Fresnel Len’s. That would be under the base with a HL sticker and a hand written number on it.

I checked mine and its hand written on the HL sticker under the base.

Harry sent me this animation he had done of the lens and asked that I share it with others..

It came up in conversation with Harry today as I told hime the Coast Guard is wanting to remove the Lens from the lighthouse..

I just had mine lit two nights ago but using the electric cord. Had never put batteries into it yet. so I got batteries, put them in and it lit up for which I was grateful. Mine's #445 but that's okay. We have been to it several times, however, the last time we were there they were giving tours so we were able to go up into it. I liked that part of the lens is red. I sure hope they don't take it out.

That's terrible!
I had the pleasure climbong around the lens in order to take pics for Harry.
I'm certainly glad and feel proviledged to have this opportunity.
