Has anybody else seen the new movie Bandits with Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton? There is a lighthouse in this movie and I have no idea where it is... Terry and I really like this movie...good comedy about a serious crime, bank robbery...

After reading your review here I went with my wife and saw Bandits last night. You are right it was an excellent movie. And a great ending. We enjoyed it a lot,

The light house is Point Montara, California which is operating as a youth hostel. You have to book way in advance, but it is one of the very few west coast lights you can stay in. It is near the town of Pacifica. The light was built in 1900. It was added to a fog signal that was built in 1872. The light still operates today. The fog signal building is gone. Most of the other buildings are there and in great shape.

The grounds are very well maintained but they close the grounds most of the day. You can visit the lighthouse from 7:30 to 9:30am and from 4:30pm to 9:30pm.

Hi Ruthie,
Mary Ann and I saw the movie the previous weekend. I could not believe the amount of time that was spent at the LH on film. I had no idea which LH it was so thanks Dale.
Bandits (A Bonnie & Clyde meets Dumb and Dumber)was really an excellent movie.

Not in a movie but during Saturday's broadcast on VH1 of the Concert for New York at Madison Square Garden. During one of the "film sequences" a lightship was visible over the left shoulder of the comentator. Was this the Ambrose?

Saw that too. You may be right -- the only other one it could have been was Frying Pan.
