Storm Warriors - 11/01/06 10:33 PM

Does anyone have the DVD called:

"Storm Warriors: The U.S. Life-Saving Service"
by Tom Garber?

Is it as good as it sounds?

It looks like both Ralph Shanks and Wick York make appearances on the documentary.

I was looking for some feedback...thanks!

Well, it has been 2 weeks and not a single reply. I received my copy of this DVD and if you are new to what Life Saving Stations were and would like to see a great overview of how they got started and some of the heroic acts that were performed by many groups of surfmen...this DVD is GREAT!
Both Ralph Shanks and Wick York speak to this topic and Ralph talks quite a bit with film footage and re-enactments and pictures galore!
It shows them in action and also talks about the surfmens wives role while their husbands were out on the water.
I highly recommend this 50 minute documentary.
It is produced by www.ThirdWaveFilms.com

Anyone else see this? What do you think about this DVD?
