Don't miss this short article and beautiful photos of New England Lighthouses by Paul Rezendes!

"Lighthouses are the embodiment of summertime, but few seek them out in Winter. A cruel breeze often rips off the ocean, and frequent ice and snow storms intimidate all but the brave or foolish."

wink I guess they have never heard of NELL or "Lighthouses, Hot Chocolate & You"! We certainly did feel the cruel breezes and the ice and snow storm yesterday but all of these did not deter us from visiting our historic lights!

We had a great time! smile

Nothing is nicer than a winter's day visiting lighthouses as long as it isn't stormy. Usually you have very few people around and often times the skies are beautiful when it's cold.

I like visiting lights in the off season. You just need to dress for it.
